One of today’s greatest challenges for the astute developer is acoustic isolation. The latest technology in acoustic floor matting is now available with Maxxon’s Acousti-Mat range. The selection of underlayment screeds provide the basis of improved sound control through increased floor rigidity (especially over timber floors), and by sealing perimeter cracks, thereby reducing sound leaks. The Acousti-Mat is applied directly below the underlayment, reducing impact noise by up to 75%. Sound Proofing
Maxxon Thermafloor generates efficient warming of commercial and residential buildings through radiant floor heat. The Thermafloor levelling screed acts as a thermal mass, which is poured over hydronic tube or electric element, with the advantage of a smooth level surface to which tile, timber or carpet can be directly attached. This spreads the heat quickly and evenly, giving thermal response times relative to that of radiators. Additionally, Thermafloor is sufficiently lightweight to pour over timber subfloors, providing heating options that were previously only available to suspended slab constructions. Our lightweight gypsum-based products provide the advantages of a concrete floor on timber frames without the expense associated with multi-storey concrete developments. The Maass Products range of Maxxon floor underlayments encompasses both radiant and levelling floor screeds. These products are pumped directly onto your floors and set to a smooth flat finish ready for any floor coverings in 2-10 days (depending on the underlayment applied).
